ISRO announces vacancies in Technician-B positions, check details

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has announced openings for Technician-B positions, and the application process is set to begin today, December 9. 

Prospective candidates have until December 31 to submit their applications.

ISRO Recruitment Details

Total Vacancy: 54 posts

• UR Candidates: 27 posts

• OBC Candidates: 14 posts

• SC Candidates: 6 posts

• ST Candidates: 2 posts

• EWS Candidates: 5 posts  

Age Limit

Applicants for the Technician-B positions must fall within the age bracket of 18 to 35 years as of December 31, 2023.

Selection Process

Candidates will undergo a selection process comprising a Written Test followed by a Skill Test.

Application Fee

The application fee for the Technician-B position is Rs 100. However, initially, all candidates are required to pay a uniform processing fee of Rs 500 per application. 

The processing fee will be refunded only to candidates who appear in the written test, as follows:

• Rs 500: Full refund for candidates exempted from the payment of the application fee (women, SC/ST/PwBD, Ex-Servicemen).

• Rs 400: After deducting the application fee, it will be refunded for all other candidates.

Pay Scale

The remuneration for this position is set at Level-3 of the Pay Matrix in accordance with the 7th Central Pay Commission, ranging from Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100.
