The Indian Army has announced applications for unmarried Male and Female Engineering Graduates and widows of Defence Personnel for the 64th SSC Tech-Men and 35th SSC Tech-Women. The application deadline is August 14, 2024.

Indian Army has invited applications from eligible unmarried Male and unmarried Female Engineering Graduates and also from Widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel who died in harness for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Indian Army  for 64th SSC (Tech-Men) and 35th SSC (Tech-Women) Course.

Candidates can apply for the posts by visiting the official website at www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.

The application process has already commenced and the last date to apply for the post is August 14, 2024.

Total Vacancy: 381 posts

  • SSC (Tech) Men: 350 posts

  • SSC (Tech) Women: 29 posts

  • SSCW Tech: 1 posts

  • SSCW Non-Tech: 1 posts

Educational Qualification

Candidates who have completed or are in the final year of their Engineering Degree course are eligible to apply. 

Final-year students must submit proof of passing and all marksheets by April 1, 2025 and produce the Engineering Degree Certificate within 12 weeks of starting training at the Pre-Commissioning Training Academy (PCTA). 

They will be inducted on an Additional Bond Basis to recover training costs and any stipend or pay and allowances if they fail to provide the degree certificate.

Age Limit

The age limit for candidates is between 20 to 27 years as of April 1, 2025 (born between April 2, 1998, and April 1, 2005, inclusive).

Selection Process

Candidates will be shortlisted based on the organization's cut-off. Once applications are shortlisted, the center allotment will be emailed to the candidate. After the Selection Centre is allotted, candidates must select their SSB dates, available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The selection process consists of two stages. Candidates who clear Stage 1 will proceed to Stage 2. A merit list will be prepared for each engineering stream/subject based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the SSB interview.
