Soon after the Covid-19 situation improved in the country, recruitment process began by various government and private organisations. During the period, a rise in online fraudsters and fake news was witnessed. Amid this, a fake news of relaxation in upper age limit by the Indian Army has also come to the fore.

A picture claiming that the Indian government has announced a 2-year of relaxation in the age limit for the Army recruitment 2022 was in circulation recently. However, a fact check agency of the government has busted the fake news.

The PIB Fact Check has shared a screenshot of the fake news on its Twitter handle. “A picture claims that the Indian government has given 2 years relaxation in the age limit for the 2022 army recruitment. #PIBFactCheck This claim is fake. There is no such change in the age limit,” the PIB Fact Check said in the tweet.

It further stated that no revision has been made in the existing age limit to apply for the various posts in the Indian Army. It also advised people to avoid such fake news.

Falling prey to such fake news is only possible when one is not informed and avoids confirming something from the authentic source or official sites. Hence, candidates applying for jobs in the Indian Army must go through the official website for details of the recruitment process.
