India Post Recruitment: Registration for 12,828 GDS posts ends tomorrow

The Department of Posts is going to close the application window for the recruitment of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) (Branch Postmaster (BPM)/Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)/Dak Sevak).

To avoid the last-minute rush, candidates shall apply online through the official website at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.

The deadline to apply for the respective posts is June 11.

Total Vacancy: 12,828 posts

Educational Qualification

The candidate must have passed the Secondary School Examination pass certificate of 10th standard having passed in Mathematics and English (having been studied as compulsory or elective subjects) conducted by any recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India/State Governments/ Union Territories in India shall be a mandatory educational qualification for all approved categories of GDS.

The applicant should have studied the local language at least up to Secondary standard [as compulsory or elective subjects].

Age Limit

The age limit should be between 18 years and 40 years.

Pay Scale

• BPM: Rs 12,000 – Rs 29,380

• ABPM/Dak Sevak: Rs 10,000 – Rs 24,470

Application Fee

• Female/SC/ST/PwD/Transwomen applicants: Nil

• All other applicants: Rs 100
