India Post recruitment 2022: Fresh vacancy in 7th CPC scale announced, check details

The India Post has invited applications for the position of Technical Supervisor. Interested and eligible candidates may apply for the post on or before September 19, 2022.

The scale of pay for the Technical Supervisor position: Level 6 in the pay matrix as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (Rs 35400-Rs 112400).

Age Limit: Candidates applying need to be between 22 and 30 years as on July 1, 2018. However, there is relaxation for 'Central Government Servants up to the age of 40 in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by Central Government'.

Educational Qualification and Experience: A Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering from any recognised institution and Practical experience in an automobile firm of repute or in a Government Workshop of two years. OR, passed Matriculation Examination or possessing an equivalent qualification with practical experience of at least five years in some factory or workshop for manufacture, repair or maintenance of internal combustion engines. 

"Preference will be given to those who have held charge of a shop for at least a year or have worked as Service Engineer with a firm dealing in internal combustion engines or equipment worked with internal combustion engines," the official notification read.

The post is unreserved and a successful candidate is likely to be posted to any place within West Bengal Circle and throughout India in the interest of service.

Selection Procedure: Selection shall be made by means of a competitive Trade Test. The date and venue of the tests will be intimated separately to the eligible candidates. 

However, India Post will not send any intimation to the applicants who are found not eligible for the Technical Supervisor position.
