India Post has released a recruitment notification inviting applications for Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) posts in Jammu and Kashmir postal circle. While the application submission process has already begun from September 30, the last date to apply for the same is October 29.

India Post Recruitment 2021 Vacancy Details

This recruitment drive by the Jammu and Kashmir postal circle is being conducted to fill as many as 266 vacancies for Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) and Dak Sevaks posts.

Educational Qualification: 

Secondary School Examination pass certificate of 10th standard with passing marks in Mathematics, local language and English (having been studied as compulsory or elective subjects) conducted by any recognised Board of School Education by the Government of India/State Governments/ Union Territories in India shall be a mandatory educational qualification for all approved categories of Gramin Dak Sevaks.

The candidate should have studied the local language at least up to the 10th standard [as compulsory or elective subjects] as declared by the State Government or as per constitutional provisions relating to the 8th schedule of the Constitution of India.

The candidates for all approved categories of GDS referred to in (i) above will be required to furnish a Basic Computer Training Course Certificate of at least 60 days duration from any Computer Training Institute run by Central Government/State Government /Universities / Boards / Private Institutions Organisations.

Age Limit: A candidate needs to be 18 years of age to apply for the India Post jobs. The upper age limit for the purpose of engagement to GDS posts is 40 years as on 30.09.2021 the date of notification of the vacancies.

Application Fee: Candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 100. The application fee is exempted for female/trans-woman candidates, SC/ST and PwD candidates. The payment can be done through both online mode and offline mode.
