Income Tax Mumbai Recruitment 2024: Apply for various positions under sports quota by Jan 19

The Income Tax department in Mumbai has released job openings for various positions, including Inspector and MTS against sports quota. 

Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications online by visiting the official website, incometaxmumbai.gov.in. 

The application deadline is set for January 19, 2024.

• Inspector of Income Tax: 14 posts

• Stenographer: 18 posts

• Tax Assistant: 119 posts

• Multi Tasking Staff: 137 posts

• Canteen Attendant: 3 posts

Educational Qualification

For being eligible to apply, candidates must have passed Matriculation, Class 12th or degree in relevant discipline from recognised board, institute or university.

Age Limit

The age limit varies from post to post, candidates should check the official notification for more details. 

Selection Process

Appointment considerations will be given to outstanding sportspersons. Selection of meritorious sportspersons will follow the order of preference outlined in the Department of Personnel and Training guidelines.

Application Fee

The application fee is Rs 200 for all candidates, and it must be paid through online mode. Applicants are required to provide proof of payment along with their application.

• Tax Assistant (TA): Level 7 (Rs 44,900 – Rs 1,42,400)

• Inspector of Income-tax (ITI): Level 4 (Rs 25,500 – Rs 81,100)

• Stenographer Grade-II (Steno): Level 4 (Rs 25,500 – Rs 81,100)

• Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): Level 1 (Rs 18,000 – Rs 56,900)

• Canteen Attendant (CA): Level 1 (Rs 18,000 – Rs 56,900)
