IGNOU to recruit full time consultants, salary up to Rs 60k

The School of Foreign Languages, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), has invited applications to engage full time consultants in Japanese and Russian.

As per IGNOU advertisement, the positions will be initially for a period of six months and extendable further as per requirement of the University.

The nature of work at IGNOU would involve activities pertaining to design, development and delivery of academic programmes from certificate to PG Level.

The consultants’ profile involves writing, editing and revision of course material, preparation of Audio/Visual material; conducting interactive counselling through radio, television, social media platforms, coordination with Regional Centres (RCs) & Learner Support Centres (LSCs), learners/stakeholders and assisting the Faculty/Programme Coordinator in day to day activities related to course development and its maintenance.

The post is purely contractual and the person selected will have no rights whatsoever for absorption/regularization in the University.

Number of Posts: 2,  1 in Japanese 1 in Russian

Remuneration: Rs.40,000 – Rs.60,000 (As per IGNOU norms)

Essential Qualifications: Master’s degree in the concerned language with minimum 55% marks (for General Category) or minimum 50% marks (for Reserved Category).

Desirable:

i) NET in the concerned subject.

ii) Ph.D. in the concerned language/ area with 02 years of teaching experience

iii) Research publications in the concerned language/area, knowledge of ICT based teaching/learning, Design, development and delivery of MOOCs in the concerned language/area.
