The Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) has announced postponement of the online computer-based test (CBT) to be conducted to fill up 641 posts of Technician (T-1) through Direct Recruitment.

The IARI has cited the unavoidable circumstances arising in the wake of prevailing COVID pandemic as the reason behind the cancellation of the recruitment examination and said the fresh dates for the online test will be notified soon.

“In view of the prevailing COVID pandemic and unavoidable circumstances, the online examination for the recruitment for post of Technician(T-1) published vide advertisement No. 1-1/2021/Rectt./Technical(CBT) dated 18/12/2021 stands postponed till further notice,” read the ICAR official notification.

“The dates for the online examination shall be notified shortly. All prospective candidates are advised to keep visiting website fwww.iari.res.in) for the updated information,” the notice dated January 22 undersigned by the controller of examination added.

The online applications for the recruitment to 641 posts of Technician (T-1) through Direct Recruitment were invited from December 18, 2021 to January 10, 2022 (11:55 pm). 

The online objective type examination (CBT) was scheduled to be conducted between January 25 and February 5, 2022. 

Plan Of Examination: The Computer Based Test/Examination shall consist of Objective Type 100 Questions with 4 multiple choice answers out of which candidate has to choose one correct answer only. Each question carries one mark. For each wrong answer ¼ (0.25) mark shall be deducted.

Qualifying marks in written test/CBT is prescribed as 40% for UR, 30% for SC/OBC-NCL/EWS and 25% for ST.
