In one of the biggest recruitment drives in recent times, the Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) has announced to fill up over 2800 vacancies in various departments of the State government.    

The Commission has released a fresh advertisement for Combined Recruitment Examination-2021 to fill up 2841 district/division cadre Group C posts of Statistical Field Surveyor, Assistant Revenue Inspector, Amin, Forest Guard and Excise Constable.  

According to sources, the Commission has cancelled its earlier advertisements issued for recruitment to the posts of Statistical Field Surveyor and Forest Guard and included the posts under the Combined Recruitment Examination-2021.

“All the candidates who had applied earlier for the post of Forest Guard in response to the advertisement dated November 28, 2019 are eligible to apply for the Combined Recruitment Examination 2021, irrespective of their current age. All the interested candidates shall have to apply afresh as the old applications shall not be considered,” the Commission stated. 

The Commission has also asked all the candidates who had applied earlier for the post of Statistical Field Surveyor in response to the advertisement dated July 23, 2021 to apply afresh for the Combined Recruitment Examination 2021.   

The online registration/submission of the application for the Combined Recruitment Examination will commence on October 1. The last date for submission of the application is October 21.   

“The details of district-wise, division wise and category-wise vacancies, scale of pay/remuneration, eligibility and other terms and conditions will be available in the web portal of the Commission www.osssc.gov.in. Interested candidates are advised to apply online by logging in the OSSSC web portal,” the Commission added.
