Free, stipendiary coaching for SC and ST job seekers; check details

The Directorate General of Employment, Ministry of Labour and Employment has invited applications for imparting free coaching to educated Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) job seekers.

The training will be imparted in general English, general awareness, typing and shorthand under the special coaching scheme for SC and ST for one year in ‘o’ level computer training and one year ‘o’ level computer hardware maintenance training through National Career Service Centres (NCSCs).

All the Scheduled Caste and Schedule Tribe candidates registered with any employment exchange are eligible to apply. Moreover, the applicant should not be a student or employee and should not have undergone similar training sponsored either by the Central or any State governments.

Details:

Duration: 11 months

Stipend: Rs 1000 per month per trainee.

The selected candidates should have an active bank account seeded with Aadhaar. The candidate needs to be registered on NCS portal.

Books and stationery worth Rs 1000 will be provided per trainee free of cost.

Date of commencement: The programme is likely to start from July 1, 2022.

Minimum Educational Qualification: 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised Board/University (with English as one of the compulsory subject).

Maximum age limit: 27 years

Age: 18-30 years

Family income: Rs 3 lakh per annum

The training will be provided at Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Delhi, Guwahati, Hisar, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Jabalpur, Jalandhar, Kanpur, Kohima, Mandi, Chennai, Nagpur, Ranchi, Surat, Thiruvanathapuram, Puducherry, and Naharlagun.

‘o’level computer hardware maintenance training:

Age: 18-30 years

Family income: Rs 3 lakh per annum
