Eastern Railway, SER announce fresh vacancies, check important details

The Eastern and the South Eastern railways have sought applications from interested and eligible candidates for several Group C vacancies. 

While the registration process for the South Eastern Railway will close on November 14, the last date to apply for the Eastern Railway is November 13, 2022.

Eastern Railway Vacancy Details

"Online Applications are invited from eligible candidates as per criteria given below for filling up the vacancies against Scouts & Guides Quota of Eastern Railway and Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) for the year 2022-2023 for Three (03) posts in Group V/ Level-2 & for Ten (10) posts in Erstwhile Group 'DV Level-1 category," read the official notification.

Educational Qualification

Group C recruitment: Passed 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent Examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate, from government recognised Education Board/Council/Institution etc. 50% marks is not to be insisted upon in case of SC, ST, ESM and PWD candidates and candidates having higher qualification from UGC recognised University. 

OR, 10th pass from recognised Board Plus Act Apprenticeship/ITI approved by NCVT (Diploma in Engineering is not considered as an alternative higher qualification). 

Erstwhile Group D: 10th pass from government recognised Board Group 'D'. OR 10th pass from government recognised Board + ITI/Act Apprenticeship approved by NCVT.

Southern Eastern Railway Recruitment 2022

The SER has announced recruitment of candidates for Group C posts. Through the recruitment drive, SER is expected to fill up 21 posts under sports quota.

Vacancy Details

Group C Level 4/ Level 5: Total 5 posts

Group C Level 2/ Level 3: Total 16 posts

Educational Qualification

For Level 4/ Level 5: Candidates need to have University degree or its equivalent from a government recognised board or institution.

For Level 2/ Level 3: A candidate should have passed 12th or its equivalent examination from a government recognised board or institution.

Age Limit

The minimum age to apply for the positions is 18 years while the upper age limit of a candidate to apply for the same is 25 years.
