East Central Railway announces 56 job openings under sports quota, check details

The Railway Recruitment Cell, East Central Railway (RRC ECR), has announced openings under the sports quota. 

The deadline for submitting the application form is February 26. 

Individuals interested in applying can do so online via the official website at ecr.indianrailways.gov.in.

The application deadline for candidates from Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, J&K, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep Islands, Lahaul & Spiti districts, and Pangi subdivisions of Chamba districts in Himachal Pradesh is March 11.

Educational Qualification

For the position at Pay Level 4/5: Applicants must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

For the position at Pay Level ⅔: Candidates should have completed the 12th or its equivalent examination. Alternatively, they may have passed matriculation and completed Act Apprenticeship, or matriculation plus ITI approved by NVCT/SCVT.

Those who have passed the 10th standard from a recognized board may also be eligible for Tech III, but the training period for appointees will be 3 years unless they pass/possess ITI in the relevant trade, in which case it will be 6 months.

For the position at Pay Level 1: Candidates are required to have passed class 10th from a recognized board or possess an ITI or equivalent qualification, or hold a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.

Age Limit

The candidate should be between 18 and 25 years old as on crucial date.

Application Fee

The examination fee is Rs 500 for UR/OBC categories, while candidates belonging to SC/ST/Ex. Servicemen/Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Women, Minorities, and Economic Backward Classes are required to pay Rs 250.
