The Directorate of Secondary Education (DSE), Odisha, which is conducting the recruitment drive for contractual Hindi, Sanskrit and physical education teacher (PET) has issued a fresh notification for the provisionally selected candidates regarding uploading of preference of districts for posting.

In a notification, the DSE stated that a link ‘Upload Preference of Districts for Posting’ made available on the website: www.dseodisha.in from November 18, 2021 to enable candidates, provisionally selected for recruitment of contractual Hindi/Sanskrit & Physical Education Teachers, to fill in their district preference for posting has been disabled.

“Due to some technical issues, the method of uploading the district preference had to be modified. For the reason mentioned, the district choice link was temporarily disabled and data of district choices already uploaded by candidates were deleted,” the DSE said.

The Directorate has now activated a fresh link with OTP based log in system for the candidates to lock their choice of districts for posting in order of preference.

“Hence, all candidates provisionally selected are informed to upload their district choice afresh in the same link. The facility for uploading the district preference shall he available till November 23, 2021 6 pm,” the notification stated.

“Candidates are further informed that no allocation shall be made to districts where vacancies are not available for a particular reservation category as indicated in the advertisement. Filling up of choice for a district will not entitle a candidate for posting in that district as such,” it added.

Notably, a total of 4619 teacher posts will be filled up through the recruitment drive in government Secondary schools across the State.
