The Directorate of Secondary Education (DSE), Odisha has announced extension of deadline for registration and submission of online application form for the recruitment of 11,403 initial appointee teachers in government-run high schools across the State.


As per the latest notice of the DSE, the last date of the registration and online submission of application has been extended by seven days. The online application which went live on January 3 and supposed to end today (January 31) has now been extended till February 7.


The extension in the last date came after the recruiting body enhanced the upper age limit for the candidates to 38 years from the existing 32 years following the decision of the State Cabinet. 


“In view of corrigendum No 2356/Dt. 25.01.2022 published by Director Secondary Education Odisha enhancing the Upper Age limit prescribed in the original advertisement dated December 23, 2021, the last date for receipt of online application (online registration) from candidates is extended to February 7, 2022, 6 pm,” the DSE notice stated.


The DSE, Odisha, through the recruitment drive, will fill up 3308 posts of TGT Arts, 2370 posts of TGT Science (PCM), 1544 posts of TGT Science (CBZ), 1753 posts of Hindi Teacher, 1188 posts of Sanskrit Teacher, 22 posts of Telugu Teacher and 1218 posts of Physical Education Teacher.
