The Directorate of Secondary Education (DSE) Odisha has published the provisional selection lists of candidates for recruitment to 4619 posts of contractual Hindi, Sanskrit and Physical Education teachers (PET) in secondary schools.
According to a notification issued by the DSE today, the provisional select lists of candidates have been published following the approval of the State Selection Committee.
"The select lists have been prepared out of the common merit lists on the basis of performance in CBT, number of vacancies available for each reservation category and principles of reservation applicable for candidates of ST/ SC/ SEBC/ Women/ PWD/ ESM/sportsmen categories," the directorate stated.
It said that the lists are purely provisional and inclusion of a candidate in the provisional merit list or select list will not as such entitle a candidate to engagement as contract teacher.
"Candidates included in the Select Lists are provisionally selected to be engaged as Contract Teachers against vacant posts, but engagement order will be issued after publication of the district list. The engagement orders will be issued by the District Education Officers after verification of correctness of data in the provisional Select List and District List," the notification stated.
Online choice filling will be conducted from November 18 to November 21 for allocation of districts to the candidates included in the provisional select lists.
"Candidates are to upload their district preference in the link named 'Upload District Preference' available in website www.dseodisha.in. Candidates not uploading their district choice within the stipulated date and time shall be placed to districts randomly as per vacancies available," the notification added.
