DRDO Recruitment: Apply For Apprenticeship At GTRE; Check Stipend & Other Details

The Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE), Bengaluru under the Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO) invited online applications from eligible candidates for Graduate / Diploma / ITI (Engineering) and General Stream - B.Com. / B.Sc. / B.A (Non-Engineering) Apprenticeship Training for the Financial Year 2022-23.

The engagement and training will be strictly in accordance with the Apprentices Act, 1961, Apprenticeship Rules and its amendments from time to time and there is no obligation for employment of apprentices on completion of their training.

The tenure of the Apprenticeship for the above categories /trades would be 12 months commencing from execution of the contract of Apprenticeship, the official advertisement read.

For B.E/B.Tech / Diploma (Engineering) Apprentice Trainees & General Stream - B.Com. /B.Sc. / B.A (Non Engineering) Apprentice Trainees, only the candidates who have passed in the year 2019/2020/2021 (last three years) as regular candidates are eligible to apply. Candidates who have passed the qualifying exam earlier than 2019 are not eligible.

Stipend:

Engineering Stream
Graduate Apprentice (B.E./B.Tech./Eqvt.) : Rs.9000 per month
Diploma Apprentice: Rs.8000 per month
ITI Apprentice: Rs.7000 per month
Non-Engineering - General Stream
Graduate Apprentice (B.Com./ B.Sc. / B.A): Rs.9000 per month

Important Dates:

Last date of submission of online application forms duly completed in all respects: March 14
Publishing of First List of shortlisted candidates for interview/written test in DRDO website: March 25
Acceptance by candidates to join GTRE as Apprenticeship Trainee: March 31
Probable date of declaration of finally selected candidates;
