Combat Vehicles Research and Development Establishment under DRDO, Chennai has invited online application from illegible candidates hailing from Tamil Nadu, for undergoing one year Apprenticeship training.
There are two categories of apprentices 1. Graduate Apprentices 2. Technicians (Diploma) Apprentices.
In category I, there are six disciplines including Computer Science Engineering, Electrical and Electronic engineering, Electronic and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Library Science and Automobile Engineering.
Similarly, five disciplines are there in Category II. These include Computer Science Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical engineering.
Candidates who would opt the category I will get monthly stipend of Rs 9,000 while it is Rs 8,000 for Category II during the training period.
Educational Qualification
For category- I, there is requirement of a Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a Statutory University in relevant discipline. A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament in relevant discipline. Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.
Similarly, for category II Technicians (Diploma)Apprentices a candidates must have A Diploma in Engineering or technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in relevant discipline.
The duration of Apprenticeship training will be for a period of one year.
