DIAT announces vacancies for several teaching posts; salary 7th CPC

The Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) has issued an advertisement for recruitment to several teaching posts.

DIAT, a deemed to be university u/s 3 of UGC Act,1956 is a premier educational institution significantly contributing in the sphere of human resource development for the defence forces by way of imparting education, research and training on defence technologies to the officers of armed forces, acientists of the DRDO, technical officers of the Ordnance Factory Board, Directorate of Quality Assurance, Defence Public Sector Undertakings, friendly foreign countries in addition to regular civilian students.

As per the advertisement, five posts of professor (contract) and assistant professors will be recruited. The last date to apply is September 9, 2022.

DIAT vacancy details:

1. Professor (on contract) for School of Quantum Technology: 1 post

2. Associate Professor for Applied Physics: 1 post

3. Assistant Professor (Computer Science & Engineering): 1 post

4. Assistant Professor Applied Mathematics (Data Science): 1 post

5. Assistant Professor (Technology Management): 1 post

Term of engagement of professor (on contract): Initially for a period of one year, extendable up to 5 years or up to the date of attaining 65 years of age whichever is earlier; on the basis of yearly performance review. Incumbent will be placed in academic pay level-14 - Rs.1,44,200 – Rs 2,18,200 with admissible allowances as per 7th CPC

Pay scales of associate professor/assistant professor:

(i) Associate Professor: Academic pay level-13A - Rs.1,31,400 – Rs. 2,10,800 with admissible allowances as per 7th CPC.

(ii) Assistant Professor: Academic pay level-10 - Rs. 57,700 – Rs, 1,82,400 with admissible allowances as per 7th CPC.

Application Fee: Application fee 1000 for general, OBC, EWS category. Application fee is exempted for SC/ST/PWD (Divyang) & woman candidates.
