CSIR Recruitment 2023: Apply for Section Officer and Assistant Section Officer posts, check details

The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has opened applications for Section Officer and Assistant Section Officer positions. 

The application process is currently in progress, and candidates have until January 12 to submit their applications. 

Those interested can apply online via the official website www.csir.res.in. 

The deadline for online application submission is January 14.

Section Officer: 76  

• SC candidates: 10 posts

• OBC candidates: 19 posts

• EWS candidates: 6 posts

• UR candidates: 37 posts

Assistant Section Officer: 368 posts

• SC candidates: 54 posts

• ST candidates: 26 posts

• OBC candidates: 102 posts

• EWS candidates: 35 posts

• UR candidates: 151 posts

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have a degree from any recognised University or Institute. The age of the candidate must not surpass 33 years as on crucial date.

Application Fee

The application fee for the Unreserved (UR), OBC, and EWS categories is set at Rs 500. However, women applicants, as well as candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and CSIR Departmental categories, are exempt from paying any application fee, and their submission of applications is free of charge.

Pay Scale

The Section Officer position corresponds to Pay Level – 8, Cell – 1, with a salary range of Rs 47,600 to Rs 1,51,100. On the other hand, the Assistant Section Officer role is associated with Pay Level – 7, Cell – 1, featuring a salary scale from Rs 44,900 to Rs 1,42,400.
