The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on Friday announced the final results for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination, 2019.

As per official sources, 7700 candidates have been selected from 8427 candidates who had appeared for the exam. Of the total candidates who qualified, 3285 candidates belonged to the general category, 1912 from the OBC category, and 1107 from the SC category and the rest 615 candidates from ST category.

According to the provisions mentioned in the notice of the examination, merit has been prepared on the basis of scores of the candidates in the following tiers/papers of the examination:

• Assistant Audit Officer (AAO): Tier-I + Tier-II (Paper-I + Paper-II+ Paper-IV) + Tier-III

• Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) and Statistical Investigator Gr. II (SI) : Tier-I + Tier-II (Paper-I + Paper-II + Paper-III) + Tier-III

• All posts other than AAO, JSO and SI: Tier-I + Tier-II (Paper-I + Paper-II) + Tier-III.

“Allocation of posts to eligible candidates has been made on the basis of merit-cum-preference of posts given by the candidates at the time of document verification,” the SSC notice read.

Resolution of Tie Cases: In the event of tie in scores of candidates in Tier-I +Teir-II+ Tier-III examinations, merit has been decided by applying following criteria, one after another in the given order, till the tie is resolved:

(i) Total marks of relevant papers in Tier-II Examination.

(ii) Total marks in Tier-III Examination.

(iii) Date of birth, with older candidate placed higher.

(iv) Alphabetical order in which the names of the candidates appear.
