The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has cancelled the provisional candidature of as many as 35 candidates for the post of Junior Assistant stands as they failed to join.

In an official release, the CBSE said: This is with reference to the Result Notice No. CBSE/Rectt. Ce11/14(85)/DR/2020/4063 dated 31.05.2021 through which the list of provisionally eligible candidates for the post of Junior Assistant was declared and offer of appointment were issued to the provisionally eligible candidates along with their place of posting.

However, the following (given below) 35 candidates has refused/ failed to join at their respective place of posting within stipulated time i.e. 20.07.2022 (even after multiple extensions on 05.07.2022 and 20.07.2022).

“Accordingly. the provisional candidature of the above mentioned 35 candidates for the post of Junior Assistant stands cancelled and no further communication shall be entertained in this regard. This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority,” the CBSE release read.

Earlier in June, CBSE announced to conduct fresh interview of several candidates for the recruitment to the posts of Assistant Secretary and Analyst (IT).

As per the notice by the board then, the decision to re-conduct second stage i.e. interview for the post of Assistant Secretary and Analyst (IT) was taken after receiving RTIs/representations from some candidates regarding result declared by the board.
