ASO Group B recruitment 2023: Orissa HC announces prelim exam date, check admit card details

The Orissa High Court has announced the date of the preliminary examination for recruitment of 199 posts of Assistant Section Officer (ASO) in Group-B Category.

The preliminary examination for the posts of ASO will be held on April 16, 2023 from 10 am to 12 pm. 

In a notice, the HC has stated that the admit card for the preliminary examination will be made available for the candidates from April 9.

"The candidates are advised to visit the website of The High Court of Orissa www.orissahighcourt.nic.in (Recruitment Corner) - Examination Portal - ASSISTANT SECTION OFFICER, 2023 and click on the tab 'Download Admit Card' which shall be made available from 10.00 A.M. of 09.04.2023 till 10.00 A.M. of 16.04.2023," the court said.

As per the official advertisement, the Preliminary Examination will carry 150 marks in accordance with the Graduation Course on the subjects of General English, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude. There shall be 150 numbers of Objective Type of Questions with Multiple Choice Answers. 

"There shall be Negative Marking of 0.5 (half) mark for each wrong answer. The Court shall call for the candidates for Main Written Examination, who have secured not less than 33% of marks in case of Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe candidates and 40% of marks in case of others in the Preliminary Examination," the official notification read.
