Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced that a recruitment drive will be initiated soon to fill as many as 1,718 posts in the State police department. 

Dhami on Saturday took to Twitter and wrote, "Providing maximum employment opportunities to the youth is the priority of our government. In this sequence, like other departments, an order has been issued to start recruitment to the vacant posts in Police Department." 

The Uttarakhand CM further said that strong youths are the basis of a prosperous state ad his government to committed to take all measures to ensure the same.

 

 

Of the 1,718 posts, the recruitment will be done to fill 197 posts of sub-inspectors and 1,521 constables posts, he said.

It is pertinent to mention here that Dhami, soon after assuming charge as Uttarakhand CM, had said that creating employment opportunities and giving jobs to the youths will be the first priority of his government.
