Defence job aspirants called for Bharat Bandh on May 8 over alleged delay in announcement of Air Force results and conduct of Army recruitment rallies and CEE exam.

Students took to Twitter to raise their demands on Sunday and soon #JusticeForDefenceStudents started trending on the microblogging platform.

"Our Demands 1.Conduct Army CEE (Delayed since 1½ year) 2. Release enrollment List and Result of Airforce candidates. (Delayed since 10 months) 4. New Recruitment rallies for Army," wrote a Twitter user, Tejas Yadav.

Another user Ankit Sarkar wrote, "we r depressed, concerned nd disheartened by the govt's behaviour towards defence aspirants!"

"Don't play with emotion of aspirants please declare enrollment list and result and conduct army exam as well," wrote a Twitterati.

It is worth mentioning that the Air Force X Trade exam was held a couple of years ago. While both physical and medical tests were conducted then, the Merit list is yet to be released.

Another exam was also conducted by Air Force in 2021. But apart from the written exam, nothing has been conducted so far, alleged students.

"The wait for the Air Force merit list is only getting longer. I even left my India Navy Artificer Apprentice job for the X Trade. Now, I am really worried about my future," said an aspirant from Odisha's Ganjam who has cleared all the tests.

This apart, it has already been one year since the physical and the medical tests for Army recruitment were conducted, but the aspirants continue to wait for the written exam. Besides, students alleged that recruitment rallies have not been conducted as usual in the last couple of years.

Moreover, the Indian Navy has also stopped conducting SSR and AA exams twice a year. Now, the exams are being conducted only once in a year, said students.
