As Russian troops continue their invasion into the Ukrainian capital Kyiv laying a trail of destruction, hopes of a truce between the two nations seems to be slowly fading despite mounting international pressure and sanctions on Russia.

Ukrainian army on Friday were asked to take power into its own hands, however the country has said that it would not back down until Russia ends the military offensive.

Amid the increasing conflict, British media suspects that Russia President Putin may unleash the deadliest non-nuclear weapon in its arsenal, the 'Father of All Bombs' (FOAB) in the war in the face of rising Ukrainian resistance.

Well it remains to be seen whether such Russia takes such a drastic measure to curb the moral of Ukraine, but experts believe that detonation of such a weapon will cause unprecedented devastation.

Dubbed the 'Monster Bomb' the FOAB is the most powerful non-nuclear weapons ever developed. Here are some of its lethal features.
FOAB is a thermobaric bomb or vaccum bomb which sucks up the atmosphere around it after detonation and causes a massive explosion.

The Russians claim of test firing such a bomb in 2007 during its Syrian mission. It reportedly weighed around 6 ton and produced blast yield of whopping 44 TNT.

International experts say that the FOAB has destruction radius around 300 metres and when dropped from a jet, it can produce similar effect of that a small tactical nuclear weapon.
