Even though they are scary, nosebleeds can usually be controlled without any medical intervention if you know how to stop them. You can use these Ayurvedic home remedies to stop nose bleeding.

  • Onion: The aromas from the onion juice help the blood coagulate and stop bleeding. Grate the onion, then press the liquid from it. After dipping the cotton ball in the juice, hold it over the troubled nostril for three to four minutes. Or slice an onion and inhale the vapours by pressing one slice under your nose.

  • Essential Oil: Cypress oil is frequently applied to traditionally treat nosebleeds and other wounds due to its astringent characteristics, which can stop the bleeding. Lavender oil is also an option because it promotes blood vessel repair. Vitamin E oil will also help. Apply with cotton before bed.

(*How to Apply: Combine the essential oil with the water as a cure. Moisten a paper towel with this concoction. Place it over the nose after wringing out the extra water. Gently press for a few minutes.)

  • Cold Compress: Ice can be used to stop bleeding, constrict blood vessels, and lessen inflammation. Wrap ice cubes in a towel and apply them to the nose to create a "cold compress." Use the cold compress gently for 4-5 minutes. The body takes less time to coagulate and stops bleeding as a result of the ice's extreme cold.

  • Lemon Juice: The high acid concentration reduces nasal bleeding, while its vitamin C content fortifies the delicate blood capillaries found inside the nose. With your head tilted back, squirt a few drops of fresh lemon juice into each nostril using a clean dropper.

Contact your healthcare professional right away if the cures don't work or if you are bleeding heavily. Also, consult a doctor before consuming any herbal medicines.
