Covid 19 is on a rampage in China as infections and deaths are reaching new heights day by day. As a result, this serious situation has alerted the world too. While the precautions are vital in the fight against coronavirus, vaccination is the most critical need of the hour now.

The Indian Government has asked citizens to be cautious, as well as state governments to be prepared for any eventuality. Recently, Bharat Biotech introduced a nasal vaccine called iNCOVACC, the world’s first nasal vaccine. It got approved by the CDSCO (Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation). 

What is a Nasal Vaccine?

In order to protect against Covid 19 virus, a new vaccine is being developed a Covid nasal vaccine. This vaccine is taken through the nose instead of getting injected into the hand.

When users log in to the CoWin app or website to book an appointment, they will now see three vaccine options that include the iNCOVACC vaccine. Here is a step-by-step guide to how to book the vaccine online.

Steps to Book Slot- 

  • Go to https://www.cowin.gov.in/ in your web browser.
  • Register your mobile number once the website appears on the screen.
  • If it's already registered log in using the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
  • After login, look for the schedule option.
  • Two options are available to search vaccination centres; one by Pincode and the other by the District name.
  • You can choose the centres.
  • Pick a suitable time and date for your nasal vaccine booster dose.
  • Now confirm the slot.

Note: iNCOVACC nasal vaccine will be available in the fourth week of January, You may have to wait until CoWin opens up the slots. 

The above-mentioned steps will help you to get a Covid -19 nasal vaccine slot, but make sure you fulfil all the vaccine requirements.

iNCOVACC Nasal Vaccine Price-

It costs Rs 800 per dose on private markets and Rs 325 per dose on Government procurement.

Photo ID proof like an Aadhar card or Driving licence, etc.
