Dengue ward
The total number of Dengue cases in the state crossed the 2,400 mark, said Public Health Director Dr Nilakantha Mishra on Friday.
Till yesterday, the state recorded a total of 2,471 Dengue patients. However, the number is, according to Public Health Director Dr Nilakantha Mishra, less than that of last year.
The upward trend in Rourkela of Sundargarh district and Bhubaneswar in Khordha district has become a matter of concern. So far, a total of 727 and 595 persons have tested positive for Dengue in Sundargarh and Khordha respectively. At the same time, the number of cases in Cuttack, Bolangir and Balasore is also above one hundred.
