MuppandalWindFarm
It has a capacity of 1,500 megawatts and is situated in Tamil Nadu’s Kanyakumari district. Muppandal Wind Farm is the largest onshore wind farm in India and features huge wind turbines in varying sizes from 200 KW to 1650 KW.
It uses wind that flows near the Arabian Sea for generating renewable energy for the locals and also contributes to the energy requirement of the country.
JaisalmerWindPark
This second-largest onshore wind park in India is located in the district of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, and includes a group of wind farm sites at Badabaug, Amarsagar, Tejuva, Baramsar, and Soda Mada, and more.
Built by Suzlon, the renowned renewable energy solutions provider, the energy generated through this wind farm is provided to all types of customers including private and public sector firms, power utility providers, as well as independent power producers.
BrahmanvelWindFarm
This wind park in Dhule district of Maharashtra has a capacity of 528 MW and is developed by Parakh Agro Industries. Other places in Maharashtra where wind power is generated through this project include Sangli, Satara, and Panchgani.
DhalgaonWindFarm
This 278 MW wind farm in Sangli, Maharashtra was developed by Gadre Marine Exports and features various turbines from Enercon and Suzlon. Maharashtra is one of the few states that has investor-friendly policies and as a result, it has many government as well as private wind power projects generating power successfully.
VankusawadeWindPark
It is one of the largest wind power production projects in the country. Located in Maharashtra Vankusawade Wind Park has a capacity of 259 MW and is situated 1,150 m above the Reservoir of Koyana on a mountain plateau.
