Ollywood singer Asima Panda performing on the stage
Tension ran high at the prestigious Bali Yatra after cops stopped the cultural programme mid-way, leaving the visitors red-faced. Popular Ollywood singer Asima Panda was enthralling the audience when cops entered the stage and stopped her performance mid-way.
This disruption was due to time restrictions that led to an unpleasant situation. Angry spectators blamed the lack of coordination between the district administration and police.
According to sources, Ollywood singer Asima Panda was escorted off the stage by the police while performing her musical act. The police intervened to enforce the 10 PM deadline. Despite the request from the ADM to continue the cultural event, it was brought to an unexpected halt, causing dissatisfaction among the visitors.
However, the Additional Collector stated that the actions were undertaken according to set directives, adhering to established protocols.
“Everything is being done as per the orders from above. There is coordination between the police and the district administration. We will try to reschedule the programme. Nothing as such has happened and the police has done its duty,” informed the Additional Collector.
A day back, CM Mohan Majhi who had visited the historic festival was seen losing his cool after finding some mismanagement. Since only one electric vehicle was arranged for all the guests, CM got angry and alighted from the vehicle.
He later went by foot to the pavilion at the Bali Yatra ground. The video of CM Majhi getting angry and expressing his annoyance soon went viral on social media platforms.
