From the avenues of State Capital Bhubaneswar, where Governor Ganeshi Lal unfurled the Tricolour to the remotest corners of the State, the ocassion of 73rd Republic Day has been widely celebrated in Odisha with enthusiasm and fervour of patriotism amid tight security and Covid-19 guidelines.
Joining as the chief guest, State Forest and Environment Minister Bikram Keshari Arukha unfurled the National Flag at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack in presence of district Collector Bhabani Shankar Chayani and DCP Prateek Singh. Arukha took salute of the Republic Day parade celebrations following which as many as 35 persons were honoured for their contribution in different fields.
Science and Technology Minister Ashok Panda hoisted the flag at the district level Republic Day celebration in Balasore. Two contingents and two band parties of district police took part in the parade. As many as 27 Covid warriors were felicitated on the occasion for their extensive service during the pandemic.
Northern Range Revenue Commissioner Suresh Chandra Dalai unfurled the flag in the Republic Day celebration at Udit Nagar in Rourkela.
Similarly, Southern Range Revenue Commissioner T Apang Aao hoisted the Tricolour at Khallikote College ground in Berhampur.
Bhadrak Collector Trilochan Majhi joined as the chief guest during the district level Republic day celebration and erected the Tricolour.
Bolangir Collector Chanchal Rana took salute at the district-level Republic Day parade celebration. Joining as the chief guest he unfurled the Tricolour also.
Additional District Collector of Kalahandi Sarat Chandra Srichandan hoisted the flag at Bhawanipatna during the district level Republic Day celebration.
73rd Republic Day was celebrated with gaiety, enthusiasm at Jeypore in Koraput in which district Collector Abdaal Akhtar unfurled the Tricolour as the chief guest. He also took salute at the district-level parade.
