The Indian Railways has decided to introduce special trains for devotees interested to visit the holy shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi in Jammu and Kashmir this festive season.

Two special AC trains, under the Bharat Gaurav initiative, will be operated by IRCTC in September, the News 18 quoted a Railways report as saying.

According to sources, the national transporter has also made arrangements for accommodation, food, and travel of devotees in a special tour package for convenience of all the devotees during the increased rush of passengers during the festivities.

As per the report, the duration of the tour package is 5 days and 4 nights. There will be two trips in the package from September 25 to September 29 and from September 30 to October 4.

Passengers can board and deboard from Safdarganj railway station in New Delhi. According to Railways officials, the booking has already started for these trains and is being carried out on first come-first served basis.
