As India celebrates its 75th Independence Day on August 15, 2021, the Tricolour was unfurled and special events were organised across Odisha in a subdued manner without public participation in view of the restrictions imposed due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

Bhubaneswar
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik unfurled the national flag at Unit-3 Exhibition Ground in Bhubaneswar to mark the 75th Independence Day on Sunday. A State-level parade was organised, which was participated by three police battalions. No student groups or any other troops were included in the parade this year.
Only a limited number of guests attended the State-level celebrations which included 20 Covid warriors, doctors, health and sanitation workers.
Cuttack
Commerce and Transport Minister Padmanabha Behera hoisted the national flag at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. Many doctors, ASHA and health workers were felicitated at the event.
Puri
Minister for Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Ranendra Pratap Swain unfurled Tricolour at Talabania Indoor Stadium in Puri on the occasion of the 75th Independence Day. Several healthcare and sanitation workers, who have been risking their lives to serve society during the ongoing pandemic, were felicitated during the district-level event.
A district-level event was organised at George High School Ground in Bargarh on the occasion. Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari hoisted the national flag during the event.
A district-level celebration was organised at the Reserve Police Ground at Phulbani in Kandhamal district. Forest and Environment Minister Bikram Keshari Arukha attended the event as chief guest and unfurled the Tricolour. Many Anganwadi and sanitation workers were felicitated during the event.
Sambalpur
A district-level Independence Day function was held at the Parade Road in Sambalpur. State Science and Technology Minister Ashok Chandra Panda attended the event and unfurled the national flag.
