Puri: The Holy Trinity-Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadrika are gradually recovering from fever following Phuluri oil treatment.

The Daitapati sevaks will offer herbal medicines made of various herbal plants, oils and benzoin resin after the Madhyana Dhupa rituals.

The Suddha Suar servitors have prepared the herbal medicines called 'Osua' which will be applied on the bodies (Sri Anga) of the ailing deities for three days beginning today, the sixth day of the Anasara period.

Subsequent to the offering of 'Osua', the deities will further recover from the fever. On the tenth day of the Anasara period, the 'Dasamula Modak'- a kind of herbal medicine, prepared by the Raj Vaidya (Royal physician) will be offered. After consuming the Dasamula Modaka, the holy trinity will recover fully and give darshan to the devotees in an event called Naba Jauban Darshan.

Meanwhile, the construction of chariots is in progress by the Maharana servitors, Bhoi servitors and painters.

The painters are continuing the painting activities. Painting of 'Olata Sua'   has also begun.

"We are working in a spiritual environment. Currently, work is on the Parswa Debatas likes idols of Ganesh, Lakshmi and others," Madan Moahapatra, a painter said.
