President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and other eminent personalities on Friday extended greetings and best wishes to all on the auspicious occasion of Maha Bishuba Sankranti and Odia New Year.  

Taking to Twitter, the President spoke about the importance of Pana Sankranti and wrote, "My heartfelt greetings and best wishes to my dear brothers and sisters of Odisha on this Odia New Year."

Extending greetings, PM Modi wrote, "Best wishes for Maha Bishuba Pana Sankranti and Odia New Year. May the new year bring abundance of happiness and good health. May all your wishes be fulfilled in the coming year."

Union Home Minister Amit Shah wrote, "Wishing the people of Odisha a happy and prosperous Maha Vishuba Sankranti. May the blessings of Mahaprabhu Jagannath be the guide on everyone's paths. May the sweet taste of Pana fill people's lives."

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also wished all on the occasion and wrote, "Hearty greetings on the auspicious occasion of Maha Bishuba Sankranti and Odia New Year. May the New Year bring joy and happiness to everyone's life. I pray that with the blessings of Lord Jagannath, Odia community may prosper and Odisha reach the pinnacle of achievement."

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also extended wishes and wrote, "My heartiest greetings and best wishes to all on the occasion of the Holy Maha Bishuba Sankranti and Odia New Year. With the blessings of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath, this new year may bring new opportunities and possibilities for everyone."

BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda also wished good health, happiness and prosperity to the people of Odisha on the occasion.  

BJP National Vice President Baijayant Panda extended wishes on the occasion and wrote, "Heartiest greetings and best wishes to all on the occasion of Maha Bishuba Pana Sankranti and the Odia New Year. May this New Year be a year of happiness, peace and prosperity for all with the grace of Lord Shri Jagannath."
