Puri police on Thursday initiated action against 10 persons for allegedly violating curfew norms clamped during Ratha Jatra in Puri. There has been an allegation against 10 persons.

Out of the 10 accused, two are from Haryana - Govindkrishna Das and Atulkrishna, who reportedly violated the State government's guidelines clamped in the pilgrim town during the annual festival of the Holy Trinity.

Meanwhile, police have informed that stern action will be taken against the violators after getting the requisite evidence against them.

"We are in the process of seizing lodges and properties found violating curfew regulations. The persons found violating rules have been served show-cause notices and the drive will continue untill the Bahuda Jatra gets over," said Samarth Verma, Puri Collector.
