After Cuttack, No Bali Yatra In Bhubaneswar This Year As Well

The Commissionerate Police on Sunday clarified that no Bali Yatra will be permitted in Bhubaneswar this year as well.

Bhubaneswar DCP, Umashankar Dash said, “Keeping in view the Covid-19 guidelines issued by the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) for the month of November, no permission has been granted to the Bali Yatra organisors here.”

The organisors had met the Police Commissioner and they have been briefed that it is not possible to grant permission to hold Bali Yatra in view of the present Covid-19 guidelines.

On November 9, the Cuttack District Administration had announced not to organise the historic maritime festival, Bali Yatra in the city this year as well.

District Collector Bhabani Shankar Chaini informed that the decision of not holding the festival was taken by the administration in view of the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
