As Odisha’s No 1 news channel OTV completes 25 years of incredible journey, it was flooded with loads of wishes from all quarters.   

Wishing OTV’s Managing Director Jagi Mangat Panda and all staff on the occasion of the silver jubilee of the channel, senior journalist Rajdeep Sardesai termed the regional Odia channel as a trendsetter in the news broadcasting in Odisha. 

“To Jagi Mangat Panda and the entire team at OTV, congratulation for completing a grand silver jubilee. Here’s wishing you all the very best for the next 25 years. You folks have been the trendsetters in Odisha news and beyond and therefore deserve a huge cheer,” Sardesai said. 

Lok Sabha MP from Bhubaneswar, Aparajita Sarangi described herself as a big fan of the Odisha Television while extending wishes to the channel for serving the people of the State for 25 years. 

“I am a big fan of Odisha Television (OTV). The channel is doing an incredible job. Even if it faces adverse situation, it upholds its character of showing and disseminating genuine information to public. Therefore, I would like to extend my greetings to Jagi Panda and her co-workers for completing 25 years,” the MP said.

Newly-elected Bhubaneswar Mayor Sulochana Das said, “I congratulate all the staff of OTV for completing 25 years. I feel proud that I had started my career in Odisha from OTV. It was a pleasant experience working with OTV.”

Recalling her service at the news channel, Das said, “One of the most important parts while working with OTV was that we faced 1999 Super Cyclone at the office. We were the only one to send team to Paradip to cover the cyclone.” 

“Those who had worked in OTV now held important positions in different big media houses in the State. We are proud of OTV,” she added.

In his wish to OTV on completion of 25 years, former MP Tathagata Satpathy said, “OTV has certainly created an identity for itself as the No 1 news channel of Odisha. We extend our greetings and wish for more success ahead.”

PCC president Niranjan Patnaik said, OTV is the most progressive channel in Odisha in the field of entertainment and news. The role of OTV is unparalleled in disseminating the views of the public. I extend my best wishes.”
