Sachin Tendulkar-Ramakant Achrekar, Saroj Khan and Madhuri Dixit
India celebrates Teachers' Day every year on September 5 on the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, the 2nd president of the country.
India has a long tradition of Guru and Shishya pairs who continue to inspire even today. Be it the ancient, medieval, or even the modern era, the country has given birth to some exemplary Gurus and scholars and equally intelligent disciples.
What you only grasp intellectually may be overthrown by a new argument; but what you realise is yours forever. #SwamiVivekananda @ThisIsSwami pic.twitter.com/0yd9gakjhD

Ramakrishna Paramhans or Thakurji as he was fondly called among his followers was a great, enlightened soul with many disciples. But it was young Narendra who later on became Swami Vivekananda who spread his thoughts and beliefs across the country and the world. It was Swami Vivekananda who established Ramakrishna Mission and made the teachings and name of his Guru so famous worldwide.

Buddhist texts calls Chanakya as "Takhasila-nagara vasi" (Resident of Taxila).
As per these, he was insulted by Nanda king for his ugly looks & manners.
While on the run, he saw a boy playing game of 'kingship', & took him away to Taxila for further studies. pic.twitter.com/7iMwXOIFgR
To date, Chanakya is considered the best economist and political advisor in India who was instrumental in forming a new Kingdom by destroying the reign of the Nanda dynasty. From picking up Chandragupta when he was a young boy to training him to become a Kingdom, it was Chanakya also known as Kautilya who changed the course of Indian history along with his disciple Chandragupta Maurya.
Though many consider Mahabharata mythology, most Indians believe that it is the great history of the country in which Dronacharya and Arjun’s presence made a big difference. Dronacharya taught Arjun all his Dhanurvidya and even some secret tactics that he never meant to teach anyone except his son. Arjun was his favourite shishya and Dronacharya had promised him that he would make Arjun the best archer in the world.
Just as India’s World Cup victory in 1983 led to Sachin Tendulkar dreaming about being a cricketer and the rest is the history, it was Sachin’s outstanding batting career and legacy that led to India producing big batsmen like Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, and Virendra Sehwag.
The man who taught batting to this little master was Ramakant Achrekar who taught many cricketers like Vinod Kambli and Pravin Amre at the Shivaji Ground in Mumbai but it was Sachin who reached the pinnacle.

The name Madhuri Dixit is synonymous with Bollywood and dancing. She won the hearts of millions of Indians during the 90s with her sparkling smile and powerful yet graceful dancing. And most of the credit goes to famous choreographer Saroj Khan. While both Madhuri and Saroj worked with different choreographers and actors respectively when these two came together they created magic on the screen.
