When Yuvraj Singh requested his actress girlfriend for some space but she followed him to Australia!

Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh is happily married to Hazel Keech. Hazel loves sharing glimpses from her family album that shows Yuvi's special moments with his wife and son Orion. Well, now Yuvi is enjoying marital bliss and parenthood. However, back in 2007, Yuvi hogged the headlines after reports circulated about the cricketer dating an actress. And recently he revealed about the same during a podcast. Without revealing the name, he shared an interesting anecdote.

During the candid conversation on the Club Prairie Fire podcast, Yuvi recalled the memorable incident when he requested his 'actress' girlfriend for some space due to the pressure of his underperformance during team India’s test series in 2007-08.

Owing to his bad performance, he decided to distance himself from the actress he was dating then. Yuvi confessed that he was caught in a stressful phase of his career due to his underperformance. He wanted to focus on his game and politely asked her to give him some space.

But, the actress happened to be in Australia for a movie shoot and despite Yuvi's request, she followed him to Australia. She surprised him by travelling to Canberra to spend time with him. As Yuvi was stressed about falling short in the game, he had a late-night conversation with the actress and emphasised that they should focus on their respective careers.

However, the next morning came with a hilarious twist. Yuvi said that he realised that his shoes were packed in his suitcase just minutes before he had to board the team bus. The cricketer was left with no footwear and it was then that his girlfriend suggested wearing her pink slip-ons. Yuvi was left with no other choice and wore it. While boarding the bus, he tried to hide his feet with his bag. However, his teammates saw it and clapped. The cricketer wore it until he bought flip-flops at the airport.

Though he didn't reveal his actress girlfriend's name, he did say that she is “very good at the moment and very experienced.”

Netizens quickly pointed a finger at Deepika Padukone, who is currently married to Ranveer Singh and recently embraced motherhood. Notably, Yuvi and Deepika were rumoured to be dating for a brief period in 2007.
