Yash’s Toxic: Dharma girl to play second female lead in KGF star’s next

Fans eagerly await the release of Yash’s upcoming movie Toxic: A Fairy Tale of Grown-ups helmed by Geetu Mohandas. Already the makers have roped in Kiara Advani as the female lead whereas Southern lady superstar Nayanthara will be playing the role of Yash’s sister in the flick. The latest buzz says that the makers have roped in another Bollywood actress as the second female lead.

A leading media portal has reported that Tara Sutaria who made her debut in Bollywood with Dharma Productions’ Student of the Year 2 will be playing the second female lead in Toxic. According to Peeping Moon, “Tara is overjoyed to have landed a prominent role in such a massive project. She plays one of the two romantic interests of the Kannada superstar, the other being Kiara Advani.”

Toxic is a big-budget, multi-lingual film that will have multiple female actors playing important roles. Apart from Kiara, Tara, and Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi has also been hired to play a negative character in this Sandalwood flick. The movie’s storyline revolves around the drug mafia that played havoc during the 1950s to 70s. The movie went on the floors in June this year and the shooting is expected to continue all through 2024.

Yash who has become a national sensation after KGF is playing the role of a stylish gangster in Toxic which will include a lot of action and stunts.

Apart from Toxic, Yash is also doing Ramayana helmed by Nitesh Tiwari which also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi as Ram and Sita respectively. The KGF star also turned producer with Ramayana and is co-producing this mega project in collaboration with Venkat K Narayana.

For Yash, Toxic is going to be a big test since it will be his first release after the massive success of KGF 2. Hence the expectations of the fans are going to be very high.
