The buzz around KFI's Rocking Star Yash's upcoming Toxic is quite high. This movie is the next big thing for fans as Yash will be seen on the big screen after KGF: Chapter 2. Yash teamed up with National Award-winning director Geetu Mohandas for his 19th project. Recently, reports were abuzz that Kareena Kapoor Khan will be joining Toxic. While the makers are yet to confirm the same, the latest reports suggest that Shruti Haasan is the newest addition.

As per a report in Times of India, Shruti has come on board for Yash-starrer Toxic and will be seen in a pivotal role.

ETimes quoted a close source to the development as saying, "Shruti Haasan will be playing a vital role in the film."

Well, if the reports are anything to go by, Shruti will be sharing screen space with Yash for the first time. The reports must have skyrocketed the expectations among fans.

Shruti was last seen as the lady lead in Prabhas-starrer Salaar. The movie went on to script several new records.

On the other hand, as per earlier reports, Kareena Kapoor Khan will reportedly make her Kannada debut with Toxic.

During a recent interaction, Bebo teased her fans about her first foray into a 'very big south film'. Though the Laal Singh Chaddha actress remained tight-lipped about the project, it is speculated that Bebi was talking about Yash's Toxic.

Of course, Kareena is quite excited about her first project in the South.

On the work front, Kareena is all set for her upcoming Crew, also starring Tabu and Kriti Sanon. The movie will hit the big screens on 29 March.

Meanwhile, though it is yet to be officially confirmed, Yash will be essaying the role of Demon King Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, also starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, Rakul Preet Singh and Lara Dutta, among others. While the shooting has already begun, the makers will be making an official announcement soon.
