Kannada Film Industry (KFI) drew the attention of movie lovers from across the globe with the release of KGF Chapter 1, starring Rocking Star Yash. Even Yash shot to fame and the roaring box office records of KGF Chapter 2 say it all. While anticipation for KGF Chapter 3 and other upcoming movies is high, recently fans of Rocky Bhai have urged their matinee idol to step into Bollywood.

Recently, Bollywood filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar shared some pictures in which he is seen posing and interacting with Yash.

The Fashion director captioned his post: “Had the privilege of interacting with the Highly Successful Kannada Heartthrob SuperStar @TheNameIsYash in Goa... Wished him more successful🏆💪 films & for great future endeavours... Thanked him for his great contribution to Pan Indian Cinema. 🙏”

Several fans went on to urge the KGF star to step into Bollywood. Some others even appealed to the filmmaker to team up with Yash for a movie.

Yash in Brahmastra: Part Two- Dev, here’s what the actor said

Recently, reports were abuzz that the makers of Brahmastra have plans to rope in a biggie from the south for Dev’s character to give it a pan-India appeal. After Ranveer Singh and Hrithik Roshan cleared the air about not being a part of the much-awaited sequel of Brahmastra, rumours surfaced that the makers were keen to bring in Yash and were in talks.

However, a report by Bollywood Hungama stated that Yash turned down the proposal. Bollywood Hungama quoted a source as saying, "He felt the film won't be an ideal follow-up to KGF 2. It's a plain and simple reason, and certainly, the only one to turn down the offer. He wanted to do something bigger, rather than entering someone else's franchise by being a father."

Further, the source also said, "They are now in the process of shortlisting a couple of more names from the south to play the part. It would be interesting to see if anyone takes up the role of Dev."

Though Yash reportedly turned down the offer of Brahmastra, rumours are still abuzz that Yash might be stepping into the shoes of the great Maratha warrior Sivaji Maharaj. Even several pictures have surfaced on social media in which Yash is seen as Shivaji Maharaj.
Well, fans need to wait for an official announcement revealing Yash’s official entry into Bollywood.

Rishab Shetty is not interested to work in Bollywood movies

On the other hand, Rishab Shetty emerged as the new pan-India star with the tremendous success of Kantara . While some movie lovers must be eager to see Rishab in a Hindi movie, the Kantara fame seems to have no interest to work in Bollywood movies.

“I will do Kannada movies. People have broken the language barrier and are watching Kannada films. I will do movies in Kannada and dub it in Hindi and release it,” said Rishab while addressing the media.

Further, he said, “Hindi films also have a great contribution to Indian cinema. Seasons come and go, there are ups and downs. Hindi film industry has given several blockbuster movies. Now, people are loving rooted- regional content, it is happening.”

Fingers crossed…

Well, Bhandarkar’s post must be spontaneous and unintentional. But, this has triggered hopes among many as the monstrous success and records registered by KGF 2 are high up while Bollywood’s ship seems to be sinking.

Excluding a few, several Hindi movies in 2022 bombed at the box office. On the other hand, south movies are ruling at the box office. Apart from Tollywood, several movies from Sandalwood emerged successfully captivating the audience worldwide. To name a few, 777 Charlie, Vikrant Rona and James recorded a dazzling performance at the box office. Moreover, Kantara’s bumper show also has surprised many.
Well, as things are not yet transparent, fans are waiting with their fingers crossed to watch their favourite south star in Hindi movies.
