South filmmaker Prashanth Neel drove moviegoers crazy with his KGF franchise, starring KFI's Rocking Star Yash and Srinidhi Shetty. After KGF Chapter 1 and KGF Chapter 2, Neel teamed with Prabhas for the Salaar franchise and his next with Jr NTR has been officially announced. While the audience is waiting eagerly for Salaar 2 and NTR31 updates, fans are also anticipating updates on the most-awaited KGF Chapter 3. However, a recent buzz in the industry suggests that Neel will be teaming up with another biggie from the South for two films and his 'immediate next' after NTR31 will not be KGF 3.

As per the latest reports, the social media is abuzz about Neel’s possible collaboration with Kollywood superstar Ajith Kumar. Moreover, the buzz also suggests that not just for one movie, Neel and Ajith's collaboration will be for two movies.

If the latest buzz is anything to go by, one movie will be an intense action drama, while the other is speculated to be a crossover with KGF 3. As per the buzz, the first film is slated to commence in 2025 and is expected to release in 2026.

Well, fans of Ajith are hoping these rumours to be true. Indeed, the Kollywood superstar entering Neel's cinematic universe would turn it much bigger than anyone can imagine.

Notably, reports have been abuzz that either Salaar 2 or NTR31 will have a crossover with KGF 3. Even Mollywood actor Prithviraj Sukumaran dropped a hint about an unexpected crossover of Salaar 2 with Neel's cinematic universe. However, the filmmaker is tightlipped about the reports of crossover. After Salaar 2 and/or NTR31 (Dragon), if the reports are anything to go by, Ajith and Neel's collaboration with a possible crossover with KGF 3 will turn the cinematic universe massive. Well, the speculations may also be considered as Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films had earlier said, "It is possible in the KGF franchise that after the 5th part, another hero may play Rocky Bhai’s role, just like the James Bond series, the heroes keep changing."

As per earlier reports, the highly anticipated third instalment will go on floors by 2025 for a 2026 release. Neel will start working on the script after the completion of Salaar 2 and NTR31 (tentatively titled Dragon). Fans need to wait for an official confirmation from the makers regarding the buzz.
