Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan experienced a triumphant return in 2023, leaving an indelible mark with three blockbuster releases. The 2023 began with the much-anticipated Pathaan in January, followed by the action-packed Jawan, and concluded with Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki.

The trio collectively amassed an astonishing Rs 2500 crores, establishing Shah Rukh Khan as the first Indian actor to achieve such a monumental feat in a single calendar year.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala shared the groundbreaking news on the microblogging site X, proclaiming, “@iamsrk becomes the 1st Actor in the Indian movie industry, to cumulatively deliver ₹ 2,500 Crs gross revenue in a single calendar year.”

Released in January, Pathaan marked SRK's cinematic comeback after a four-year hiatus, featuring an ensemble cast including John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, and Dimple Kapadia, with a special guest appearance by Salman Khan.

Continuing the winning streak, Shah Rukh Khan showcased his action prowess in Jawan, directed by Atlee. Released on September 7, the film boasted a stellar cast, including Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, and Ridhi Dogra.

The year's cinematic journey culminated with the release of Dunki in December. The film, exploring the unconventional Donkey Flight taken by a group of friends aspiring to move abroad, featured an ensemble cast comprising Boman Irani, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover alongside Shah Rukh Khan.

In a recent interaction with fans during an #AskSRK session on X, when asked about the best part of 2023, Shah Rukh Khan responded, “Not parts—the whole 2023 was the best!!” This declaration reflects the actor's satisfaction with a year that not only marked his successful return but also set unprecedented benchmarks in the Indian film industry.
