Will KGF Chapter 2 Go Undisputed After Laal Singh Chaddha Release Date Postponement

One of the much-anticipated movies, KGF Chapter 2-of Kannada origin, will hit the theatres on April 14 this year. It has been a long wait for KGF lovers and Yash fans indeed. Multiple times the makers opted to postpone the release date owing to the pandemic situation. However, it seems the current release date for KGF 2 is almost final as the pandemic situation is improving. 

While Yash fans and KGF lovers are waiting eagerly for an official update on the movie, the makers are yet to make one. As the release date is inching closer, all are speculating that the makers will be soon releasing a single or trailer. The desire is growing with time. However, fans are still waiting with disappointment. 

The new topic that has taken over the social media recently is KGF Chapter 2 will go undisputed. While several earlier speculations proved wrong, the recent announcement by the Aamir Khan Productions has fuelled up the discussion. 

Earlier it was speculated that big-budget movies like RRR, Pushpa, Adipurush and several others will likely clash with KGF 2. Though these were proven wrong in due course of time, Laal Singh Chaddha was scheduled to release on the same date. However, on February 15, Aamir Khan Productions made the official announcement of the postponement of the release date. 

"This is to announce that our film, Laal Singh Chaddha will not be releasing on 14th April as planned. This is because we are unable to complete the film in time. The film will now be releasing on 11th August 2022 in theatres worldwide," the Twitter announcement read.

The makers of Laal Singh Chaddha also thanked the entire team of Adipurush for shifting the release date so that their movie can come on the newly announced release date.

Though one movie has averted the clash till now, there are several other movies in a row that might clash with KGF Chapter 2.

As per the current status, ‘Jersey’ starring Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur in the lead is scheduled to release on the same day as KGF2 along with some low-budget regional movies.

Moreover, Tamil movie ‘Beast’ starring Thalapathy Vijay and Pooja Hegde in the lead is scheduled to release on the same day. Recently Beast's single, Arabic Kuthu was dropped by the makers that left fans of Thalapathy into a frenzy. Though the movie will be in Tamil language which restricts it from releasing in north India targeting the pan-India audience, Vijay's popularity is sprawling nationwide following the massive success of Master. 

Considering the ongoing scenarios, it may be said that the makers of Beast may avert the clash with Yash starrer owing to the persisting craze for KGF and Yash. 

Well, all have to wait for an official announcement from the respective makers if KGF Chapter 2 will go undisputed or not.  On the other side, whatever may be the announcement, even though the makers of the respective movies don't avert the clash, the craze for KGF has reached the pinnacle and will leave everyone behind. It is already proven with KGF Chapter 1 when the Yash starrer left behind Shah Rukh Khan's Zero in 2018.
