Bollywood's charming actor Kartik Aaryan is certainly quite excited over the announcement of his upcoming movie Aashiqui 3. The development took no time to trigger banters among netizens on social media platforms who have raised questions on Hindi filmmakers over several concerns.
Many even have lashed out the Bollywood producers for repeating the movie titles as previously two movies have been made with the same title. Stepping ahead, the makers this time have come up with a song with the same lines and music. Probably, this didn't go well with a section of the audience. Amid the calls of boycotting Bollywood movies, concerns have been raised if the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 actor will be able to spread the magic of Aashiqui in the third installment.
Aashiqui
1990's musical romantic drama Aashiqui, starring Rahul Roy, Anu Aggarwal and Deepak Tijori in the lead, had created a magic in Bollywood. The newcomers in the B-Town left an indelible mark in the industry and helped the lead actor Rahul earn accolades and new offers, thereafter. The movie is still remembered for its soulful songs composed by Nadeem-Shravan.
Singer Kumar Sanu levelled up the magic of the soundtracks for which it swept 4 awards in the music category. Directed by Mahesh Bhatt, the movie emerged as a commercial success and received positive reviews. The soundtracks still are found in the playlist of music lovers.
Aashiqui 2
Once again the makers teamed up for its sequel with the title Aashiqui 2. Helmed by Mohit Suri, the romantic musical drama starred Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles. This time the producers of the film came up with a series of soundtracks that created sensation across the country. The second installment even proved to be commercially successful at the box-office despite featuring newcomers. The movie emerged as the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2013.
Most of the melodious soundtracks were composed by Jeet Gannguli, however, Mithoon and Ankit Tiwari composed two songs each.
Amongst all the songs, Sunn Raha Hai was tagged as the love anthem of the year which was sung by Ankit Tiwari. Arijit Singh was no way behind in ruling the hearts of the music lovers with his soulful voice. Repeating the history, the soundtracks clinched multiple awards apart from winning the hearts of the music lovers.
Now Aashiqui 3
Being the third installment of the Aashiqui, many have already started hoping for a musical saga. The third installment of the 'Aashiqui' franchise to be helmed by Anurag Basu has already started a buzz in the industry. While Pritam will be composing the soundtrack for the movie, the makers along with the composers have exuded confidence that the audience will celebrate love like never before.
The first video dropped by the entire team reveals the title of the movie along with the hit soundtrack 'Ab Tere Bin' from Aashiqui in Arijit's voice. Arijit has certainly blended the evergreen song with his uniqueness and the music track remains the same. However, it can be expected that the makers might go for a change in the overall song and instead of just adding a few changes, they may serve a completely new song.
Kartik said, "The timeless classic 'Aashiqui' is something I grew up watching and working on 'Aashiqui 3' is like a dream come true! I feel privileged yet grateful collaborating with Bhushan Sir and Mukesh Sir for this opportunity. I've been a big fan of Anurag Sir's work and collaborating with him on this one has definitely shaped me in many ways."
On the other hand, producer Mukesh Bhatt said, "Today with Bhushan, Pritam, Anurag and the hearthrob of the nation Kartik, I assure everyone that 'Aashiqui 3' will celebrate love like never before."
Meanwhile, Bhushan Kumar said, "The movies whose storyline and music etched our hearts, it’s time to relive it again! We are ecstatic to announce 'Aashiqui' 3 in collaboration with Mukesh Ji, directed by my all time favourite Dada Anurag Basu. The film is sure to have a fresh side to it while retaining the true essence!"
Anurag, who is teaming up with Kartik and the team of Aashiqui for the first time, said, "Aashiqui and 'Aashiqui 2' were emotions for the fans that has remained in hearts till date, the aim is to carry the legacy ahead in the best possible way."
Composer Pritam on the other hand has exuded confidence that the entire team will work hard to take the soundtracks of the movie to next level.
"I am really glad to be part of this amazing franchise and will try to take it to it's next level." said Pritam.
After winning the hearts of all with his comic timing in movies like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Bollywood heartthrob Kartik will step into a romantic genre to steal the hearts of the audience with his Aashiqui.
However, as the makers haven't yet finalised the lady lead for the movie, the audience are certainly looking out for the opposite pair.
Because the selection of actress will play a major role in deciding the reception status and ultimately the business.
