Ranbir Kapoor
When it comes to dedication and patience, Ranbir Kapoor seems to set the gold standard in Bollywood. Producer Boney Kapoor, who worked closely with the actor on Luv Ranjan’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar (2023), recently shared how Ranbir’s professionalism left a lasting impression on him.
In a candid chat on Game Changers with Komal Nahta, Boney revealed that Ranbir is perhaps the only actor he has never seen crib on set. Whether it was working for 16 hours at a stretch or braving Delhi’s scorching summer during the shoot, Ranbir never let discomfort affect his work. The team even flipped the schedule to shoot nights instead of days, but, as Boney recalled, “He didn’t complain even for a second.”
Sharing one unforgettable incident, Boney said Ranbir once gave as many as 52 retakes for a single scene, yet remained calm and respectful throughout. “When I had to give 13-14 retakes, I got flustered. But Ranbir told me, ‘Till the director is not satisfied, you’ve got to give it all.’ His patience was remarkable, he was truly a pleasure on set.”
The film marked Boney Kapoor’s acting debut alongside Ranbir, Shraddha Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, and Anubhav Singh Bassi. Since then, Ranbir has moved on to bigger projects. He was last seen in Animal (2023) and is currently shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War with Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, as well as Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, co-starring Sai Pallavi and Yash.
Clearly, Ranbir’s work ethic continues to inspire both his co-stars and audiences alike.
