Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sonali Bendre started their career first as models. Both of them modeled for different fashion brands and were a part of many television commercials, print ad campaigns, and posters. These girls walked the ramp like a diva and made a very good name for themselves before venturing into Bollywood.

Recently, one of the old commercials that shows young Aishwarya and Sonali in Indian traditional outfits, especially saree and suits, resurfaced on the web. Fans could not believe how ethereal and beautiful Aishwarya Rai looked during her early days. Since she comes across as the main model of the campaign, it is easy to identify her.

But what surprised a few netizens is the look of Sonali Bendre who looks so graceful and gorgeous in all the colourful dresses that she has worn in the ad. Their curly, flowing hair, and beautiful and elegant dresses will make one wonder where all the beauty from the traditional dressing has gone.

Be it the Pepsi ad of Aishwarya or the Nirma commercial of Sonali Bendre , both these stars were in huge demand as models during their heydays.

Eventually, both of them shifted to Bollywood and became famous. For Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, it was not much struggle getting her first photo shoot done because her teacher wanted her to do some shoot for her relative. And that is how her photographs reached different modelling and fashion agencies and she became a big sensation within a fortnight.

Sonali Bendre had to struggle a bit to get her initial modelling assignments but later on, she gained a lot of success in this field. Her height and slim figure made her the favourite model of many leading fashion designers in the late 90s. After that, she participated in Stardust Talent Search and was selected. That is how her Bollywood journey started.
